I LOVED my XPL 12's when I had them, even though it was 12 years ago. Are they 2/4/8 ohm? They would be nice in my girls car.

Yeah, they did the job. A friend had 12" JL and another had 12" Lanzars at the same time, but I went with these because of the clarity - yeah, they are 2/4/8 ohm.

how much for just the subs without the box?

I'd be willing to sell them without the box if I don't get an offer for them with the box. In that case, I'd sell them for $50 a piece. I see that you are in Sac, I'm in the north bay and I could even meet you in the middle to avoid shipping anything.
