2-Solo-x 18's or 4-L715's ??? HELP!

Ok I was going to run 2 Solo x 18's off of 2 AB 500.1's but when I look at what space I have I could also run 4 L715's. im going for all out spl its all going into my 03' navigator in a wall. I wanted to run 4-solo x 18's but I don't have enough room to mount the subs and still keep the airspace.

so in your opinion what would be louder?

2 Solo x 18's ran off of 2 AB 500.1's

or

4-L715's ran off of 1-AB 500.1

I already have some of the equipment purchased but I can swap it out I just wanted to get some opinions before I got in too deep!

please respond asap! I want to get started this weekend. so I can start my build log on here! thanks in advance for any help!

4x15=60"

in all logic 60" is gonna move more air than 36" right? I know power has a lot to do with it too but that's where I was getting hung up go with more power or more cone area?

Realistically you're looking at 4(13.5^2) vs 2(16.5^2) or around that considering the cone doesn't actually cover the entire 18/15 inches.

That comes out to ~729sq inches vs ~545sq inches respectively, so not as huge of a delta as you were looking at.

Personally I'd take the 18's off 10k vs the 15's off 6k

Wattage does mean shit. I see people putting up better numbers with less wattage then the other person.

Go with the 4 15" L7s, I ran 4 12" L7s off 3600 watts in a 13 cubic foot box tuned to 36hz....

it... was.... loud. 4 15" L7s is gonna be obsurd, you'll love it. personally I don't like the sound of 15" L7s though, little sloppy. The 12's are much more accurate.

Ever think of going 6 12" L7s?

This is just common knowledge, but break 'em in slowly, I made the mistake of barely breaking them in and slammed them after a few hours, when they would hit they would make "boing" sound (best i can describe it). Took a couple weeks for that to go away, plus they will get tremendously louder after they are broken in, you'll see what i'm talking about.

some of you guys amaze me? im looking for opinions on what subs to use and you mr douche bag have to ***** my thread with your idiocricy? I was simply saying cone size im sorry that some people have nothing better to do.

money is not a problem I just don't want to waste any of it! lol I personaly thought the 18's would be louder but I have had so many people make valid points I figured I would ask some of you guys on here. I shouldve known someone would have to be a smart azz though. thanks for all the info you guys.

I think you'll be happier with the 4 15's in all honesty, give them the clean power they want, they will not disappoint. Plus, watching 4 subs move is a lot more fun than watching 2!
