2 runs of 1/0 gauge for big 3?

Hey guys I have 100 ft. of Rockford Fosgate 1/0 gauge and was wondering if I can do 2 runs for the big 3. I would like to fuse the Alt to battery positive wire with 2 fuses (one for each run). How would I choose the right fuse amperage? I was thinking of putting 2 300 amp fuses on there but that seems like too much in case of a short. Would 2 150-200 amp fuses be a better choice? My alternator puts out 300 amps.

Can't hurt, but unless you're competing it seems like a waste of wire. Good 1/0 will carry far more than 300 amps on a length as short as a charging wire anyways.
