2 RD Alphamax 15s in 9 Cubes at 34Hz (Aero, Grand Marquis)

we need to do some more testing but like I said you had a sick nice start but I think the song was not a good one for you. We will have to see though. Sometimes what sounds louder (due to lower frequencies) is not always a higher number and I think we still could have squeezed a 139 bassrace out of that car. Between breaking in the subs a good bit and a few other small tweaks I have no doubt at all the 39.9 class will be easily in your grasp.

looks good dude gotta make some vids though
Videos soon, I just pulled the box out yesterday did some sanding, doing some more today.. then I got some microfiber black suede to wrap it in

Also making an amp rack and something to hold the batteries on the top shelf.

Sorry there nothing for awhile my amp was at dB-r getting repaired //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif going w/o bass sucks nuts

Hope you have the Cactus back for CACO next weekend as I want to see this thing throw up some numbers...
Its supposed to be here Thursday, I was out working on sanding the box earlier just took a little break, going to try and finish sanding and wrap it today.

I was going to cut the slits like you were talking about to tuck the edges in but my edge follower on my router sucks, so I'm going to try it with a circular saw. I believe you said only 1/8" deep or more?

Doesn't that seem kinda low?
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif i was expecting higher
Yeah Im working out some issues with my amp still, its still burning hot, talking with Chris @ dBr to try and figure out whats causing it. He is thinking airflow at this point, so Im trying to figure out a good way to cool it off.

Also remember its wired @ 2 ohms and I haven't got a chance to clamp it and see impedance rise

Another thing to consider too is the vehicle itself, Crown Vics and Grand Marquis are not the most SPL friendly cars, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Im sure once you get your amp issues worked out, it will go up, I am suprised your peaking so high though.

Yeah I noticed, it sounds louder then a 139.8 though, I think the trunks magically add Ear Sound but steal Mic Sound lol

I was also surprised I peaked that high, my old box peaked at 43hz but I added 45s and did a 1/2" round over on the port after the design of this so that would raise my tuning a bit, if I was to guess the box is more like 35-36 then the original planned 34

Once you get everything sorted out I'd play a song that peaks higher. I gained .7dB's by doing that as I also was using "push that", but now use lil jon "*****".

I've also heard that stragetically placing rubber bats on your windshield adds the db's.

Welcome to the team....

u are chokin those subs all sealed up back there besides the lack of rear 6x9s
can u do port up subs up with current box

maybe 4th order ported thru rear deck in the future?
That was a thought, I was going to do it with just 1 15 in a 4th order but I decided to get 2 and go ported.

I'm not sure that subs up port up would be loud but I could prolly flip my box and try it.

my vic peaks at 47hz
Ok so I'm not far off then.

Pics up soon
