Hey guys!
Two novice questions. I've searched the forum and elsewhere and couldn't find answers, forgive me if this has already been discussed:
1. The instructions for my JVC car stereo says to always connect USB sticks using a cable, not directly. Doesn't say why. I connected directly and everything works fine. Any reason to use a cable?
2. A much discussed topic, but with a twist: the songs on my USB stick appear in a seemingly random order. Now, the answer is usually that the stereo ignores alphabetic order or tags and just reads the files in the order in which they were copied, and the solution: use tools to re-order the files. However, the instructions say specifically and unequivocally that the files are read in alphabetical order. My previous stereo, also a JVC, handled this without a problem, using the same USB stick. I'm going to try said solution, but I'm very curious as to what's going on.
Thanks!
