2 pairs of components up front.....

Welcome to Thunderdome
I stopped at a local shop recently, and they suggested that for strong midbass that I run 2 sets of components up front rather than my original idea of 1 set up front with a single woofer in the middle of my floor(I have a bench seat). I'm running BA Pro60s, which I heard have strong midbass. So should I run 2 sets or 1 set and a 5" or 6" woofer in the middle. Keep in mind i'm going for sq.

Have you tried it with one set and deadened your doors VERY well? That may be all you need.

I wouldn't do two sets. If you do add a woofer, use a 7" or 8". No sense in running a smaller speaker than what comes with your Bostons (6.5")

If it were me, I would probably put the components in the kicks and do midbass drivers in the doors, if possible.

One set only, if possible with a 7" mid. The other two ideas are dumb. Spend the extra money on deadening and installation instead and it will sound way better. Especially true since you are going for SQ.

Have you looked into dual 6.5" midbass component sets? Rainbow and Alumapro have some sets with dual midbasses. If you are looking for SQ i really dont see the need for 2 tweeters up front, dual midbass is debatable but you will bring the upfront bass/output easily vs 1 driver.

just get a good 3 way setup instead of doing dual midbass. take up less space. Certain companies like CDT have extended range midbass drivers that can do well if matched with the right tweet.

Well, i was thinking of running both Pro60 woofers in the doors with one tweeter and then the other tweeter in my a pillar to raise the soundstage. I'd cross that tweeter over very very high. Good idea or No? And as far as the midbass, i'd consider one set and maybe jl audio's new 6w3v2 or 8w3v2 in the middle of my floor. Better that way? And kick panels are not possible in my car, so there goes that idea.
