2 ohm vs 4 ohm

4 ohms will be a final load of 2 or 8 ohms

2 ohms will be a final load of 1 or 4 ohms

if you get a 4 ohm speaker, look up amp specs of 2 ohm ratings

if you get a 2 ohm speaker, look up amp specs of 1 ohm ratings

Are you unaware that not all speakers have dual voice coils? Or are you just trying to confuse the fvck out of him?

incorrect

a dual 4 ohm subs final impedance is 2 or 8 ohms

a dual 2 ohm subs final impedance is 1 or 4 ohms

to the OG post, most amps put out more power the lower the impedance so you might get more wattage for your buck if you get a dual 2 ohm sub vs a dual 4 ohm sub, or if you get a 2 ohm sub vs a 4 ohm sub etc etc

Will two subs with dual 2 ohm coils enable you a final of 2 ohms?
If you are trying to get the most out of your amp and it is one ohm stable, get two 4 ohm subs and wire them parallel. Then your amp will run at one ohm and push max power. (And get hot)

i dont think i have ever seen you give correct information in a post, keep trying one day it will happen by accident

Actually, I aim to run what ever I get at 2 ohms, I know you can run a DVC 4 ohm at 2 ohm when parallel wired, but a few of the subs I find interesting is only 2+2, and I haven't figured out yet how to get these to work with an amp at 2 ohm.

It seems to be easy to run 1 ohm or ohm but getting the correct ohms wired either in parallel or series to achieve 2 ohms is not so easy! Thats why I went my route. Just get an amp that is 1 ohm stable...piece of cake!

This is the sub amo I use and I have had it for 9 months without any problems. Its a great price at $179!
