2 ohm vs 4 ohm components

I have an Audio Art 200.2 that is stable at 100x2 rms 2 ohms stereo.

I want a set of component 6.5's to hook up to it, but the picking for 2 ohm components is slim, and thats being kind.

Im not about to buy a new amp, so what do you suggest i do?

Get a good deal on a set of 4 ohm medium/high quality components, or would you settle for 2 ohm infiniti reference components (about all thats available).

Thanks for your time

I wouldn't bother limiting your self to 2 ohm components. First off, there aren't many of them out there. Secondly, you're not gaining nearly as much as you think you are by doing so.

I would check into ID. Their cx(i think) line is pretty **** good. They sound great, have great midbass, and can handle bunches of power if you know what you are doing. I was only sending ~60rms to them and they were beautiful!

Can you explain why i wouldnt be gaining as much by going with 2 ohm speakers to get the full load the amplifier can supply?

Second, I would love to have the 2 ohm ID's, but I am not keen on spending 300+ bucks on a pair of speakers.

thanks in advance
