2 ohm or 4 ohm please help!!??!?!

hey guys Im putting 2 10's in my car, im going with 2 image dynamics ID10v3's but dont know if i should go with 2 ohm or 4 ohm subs?? i havent picked up a amp yet... now what should i do?? i know the 2 ohm will have more power for the money right? and how can i run these subs in parallel or what?? help me out with this.

and these subs say 250 rms 500 max... what amp would you guys recommend? and i plan on running some MBQ components up front so a second amp for those too... and im on a budget so keep it reasonable //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

get 2 4 ohm subs wire them in series and get a 2 ohm stble amp

Keep in mind, these are dual voice coil subs. So, with 2 D4's, you would wire them to either 1ohm or 4ohm. With two D2's, you can wire them to either 2ohm or .5ohm.

IMO, since you are going with a pair, get the D4 version. That will allow you a wide range of amps to choose from, since you can wire them to either a 1ohm or 4ohm load (which is ideal for most mono amps [1ohm], and 2-channel amps bridged [4ohm]).

either or, dual 2s you could wire at 1 or 4, dual 4's at 2 or 8...the dual 2's would be more versatile, but i would do dual 4's and wire it at 2

since you can wire them both to a final of 4 ohm you can get watts cheaper by gettin a stereo two channel amp and just bridge the channels. That our wire each sub to 2 ohms and connect to each channel.

It's rated 200w x 2 @ 4ohm. 600w x 1 @ 4ohm is it's bridged power output.

What he said was correct; A dual 2ohm/coil sub can be wired at 1ohm or 4ohm, and a dual 4ohm/coil sub can be wired to 2ohm or 8ohm. The D2 version would be a little more "versatile", since wiring a sub to 8ohm is pretty worthless most of the time.
