2 ohm head unit

Can anyone tell me if there is an aftermarket head unit with 2 ohm impedance?

My stock system is 2 ohm and will overheat a 4 ohm head unit in its current form. Before I knew I had a 2 ohm system, I installed a 4 ohm head unit; it overheated and the volume was very low compared to the stock head unit.

Can I wire a 4 ohm head unit to be compatible with a 2 ohm system (i.e. wire the front speakers in series, wire the rear speakers in series to get two 4-ohm channels)? Will this affect my volume still?

They all should be ok at two ohms. You shouldn't have any problems. What head unit did you install that overheated? If so, and if your not going to install a amp, those small four channels by Alpine or pioneer are pretty nice

My pioneer lasted 4 days at 2 ohms on the front channels before it stopped

Still has preouts

My friend has the same h/u but pioneer premiere and it lasted years at 2 ohm.

I've also seen an alpine die and a kenwood die on 2 ohm almost instantly

Get a 4 channel or all new speakers

Wow. That's crazy. Never had issues like that. Maybe I was lucky.
