I have a single sub with Dual Voice Coils. If I wire it in "series" like in the diagram attached, will this now be 4 ohms? My amp is 2 channel 4ohms, or 2 ohms stable in stereo(not bridged). So if I wire it this way, I can bridge the amp right, because we will be 4 ohms?

I have:

-a single Kicker CompVR 07CVR102 10" subwoofer with dual 2-ohm voice coils

-American Legacy LA1490 1600W (ya right) 2 channel Amp

I just finishes installing the amp and I am excited to plug in the sub but I don't want to fry anything if I am not understanding this right. So any info would be much appreciated!

sorry heres the attached Diagram. So if I wire my single DVC this way than I can run it off my 4ohm bridged amp right?

It also lowers the amps efficiency and raises the current draw.
