2 ohm 4000 watts rms needed.

Was hoping to get the taramps 5000 watt amp, but it's only 1 ohm. I got a good deal on a pair of 12 inch U series sundown audio woofers but they were dvc 2ohm woofers. 1500 watts rms each. Need a 2 ohm amp (am I right?) To run these. Would like something well over the 3000 watts rms they are rated for. Don't mind spending some monies, but I'd also like the best bang for my buck. Thank you guys in advance.

8k dont set to clipping, just set gains via heat levels and voltage drop.

It sounds like you just need to pull the trigger on either the MD5K 2ohm or the MD8K 2 ohm. The MD8K would probably be your best choice. More headroom.

since you'll have box rise i'd recommend the 8k, its only 90 dollars more for 3000 more rated watts lol. Thats a pretty damn good ROI. when was the last time you can get 3000 extra watts for 90 bucks?

yup just have headroom and never worry about clipping and you'll be a happy camper.

i would personally go with the skar audio RP-4500. 1D they also have a better version of this same amp for $900
