2 lines to 4 speakers

Hi
I have 2 lines (left/right) coming out of receiver and 4 channel amp. Can connect one line from receiver to 2 channels on the amp to power 4 speakers?
1 left line out from receiver to 2 left line inputs on amp to power 2 left speakers

same for right

makes sense?

Yes to all. The amp may have an input switch (2/4 channel). If not, use (2) 1 female input to 2 male output RCA adapters.

What speakers? Stock?2 ohm or 4 ohm speakers? What amplifier?

i have Kenwood reciever with 4 ch, 2 ch are used in front. 2 ch i want to split in rear among 4 speakers. all speakers match are 4 ohms.

amp is alpine ktp-445U

Take a look at the owners manual. Their is a switch on the amplifier that lets you select 2 channel or 4 channel inputs.
