paid 20 dollars for a kit. im only gonna use the power and ground wire but wuts ghetto is that i dont want to spend the time to isntall it.. im busy wit school and baseball. and cartoys bestbuy both want to do it for over 70 dollars... jeeze... and i want to take my existing 8 guage wire out but im not sure if its worth to chagne from 8 guage to 2 guage. what do you guys think? worth it? i also got a kicker 100 watt amp and i was wondering if i should hook it up to my back speakers or something jus cuz i have it laying around. will it sound better then my HU.? and could i also jus connect kicker amp to my power akoustic amp because there are input and output on my rcas?

O yea what i have is a 15xxx and a powerakoustik 2400db amp puttin out 2400 watts

$70 for running power wire is the going rate around here as well. You have 2400 watts on 8 guage? Even if that is the max power, that doesnt seem to safe. I recommend upgrading. Since you already have the 8gauge wired in, why not tape the 2awg(I recommend duct tape or stronger) to an end of the 8awg and just pull until the wire is run? That, worked great for me in my old car when I upgraded for 8 to 4awg.

I would have gone with a 1/0 guage for upgrading purposes, but its will be worth the extra time installing it.

your crazy and stupid to think you can run that much power over an 8awg line man. You risk lighting your car on fire and not only toasting all of your equipment, but possibly you as well. Stop b!tching and moaning about how you have no time to run the wire and you don't want to pay anyone to do it for you. This is a dangerous issue.. either fork over the cash, get off your *** and do it.. or start making plans for a new car or a funeral.
