2 gauge amp kit

Is 2 gauge going to kill me useing a directed audio 1500d? It's about half as much as 0 gauge and money is a little tight. 30 bucks for an amp kit would be prime. So lemme know. I'll go 0-gauge if i have to, but not if it's only for a little bit cleaner power. Also, if i go 2-gauge will it be big enough for the big 3?
