2 dd 9515g subs

i was wondering how much power can the dd 9515g take.im going to be using a dd z2lv for 2 of them.im trying to see if thats to much power and if i should use a smaller amp.how much power are yall putting to them?

I would keep it around 3k or so. That is about what I have been running to my hdc aluminum coil. Any more than that, be careful for daily.

just for burps you can use all the power from the LV. now daily use i wouldnt go over 3000-3500

really depends upon what kind of music you listen to and how long you play it full tilt. 2k or so should be fine, probably more for short demo's and even more for burps...

yep all depends if its clean power and a good box and not clipped to hell or below tuned freq....if you smell them turn it down.Also watch for over excursion.

I'd say like 2500-3k daily as long as ur not clipping it and in the right enclosure... I used to throw 2500 daily to a 9512f and it took it like a champ, so I'm guessing the G series could take similar/more power daily also.

I'm sure they will take it though. Those DD are very under rated.

Yeah use the Z2LV....alot more head room and clean power

With my friends two 9515's G's on 1600w each with a little clipped signal they start to smell a little. Once we get the alternator in and get more clean power they'll probably hold 2000w each before they start to smell. So I'm going with no more then 2000w rms for music. As for spl burps around 3000-4000 due to the paper cone. You'll tear the cone before you burn the coil for burps. Same coil with a kevlar cone I've given 6500w but from 4000-6700w on a 60hz note there was only 1db gain. So at subs limit.

Pay a couple more bucks and get the aluminum coil to handle more power.
