2 cubic feet too much for a pair of 8's?

i been playing with winisd and the t/s for the american bass XD8's. 2 cubes @ 32 hz models really nice in winisd , lots of output but still a very response flat curve , i was wondering if its too much airspace for these speakers? I plan on running 800 watts to the pair. Is this too big for that much power? They are rated for 300 watts but i hear they can handle a good deal more if its clean , which my power is pretty **** clean "pat's self on the back". LOL. What do you guys think?

1.8 may be pushing it as well, that said we have had 2 sa-8s on 2 cubes and threw 1500 watts at them. but then again the XD8s arnt sa-8s i would say 1.4-1.6
the 1.8 would be before sub displacement. so you would be seeing like 1.6 ish. i had my 8's in 1.5 and it performed great but wouldn't have hurt to make it slightly larger.

did you guys sing along too? LOL
only in our heads
