2 cubes, 1600w, single or double 12s... what sub?

been over this I think, but every time I try a path there's a problem.

I wanted a pair of IDQ12s to start with, then I was thinking an IDMAX and some box bracing to handle the power better, but an IDMAX is like $400, and IDQ's are tough to find these days. Is there anything comparable to an IDMAX? I'm not interested in a type R.

I did have a look at the RLP, it says it'll reach xmax with 700w though, and it'll be running off an XX zeus. I could get a D4 and run it at 2 ohms, but that just seems like I'm wasting the amp's potential then. no?

Have you looked at treo? they sound good and handle power but I have never personally heard the IDQ's of the RL-P's

The RL-Ps will do fine off that power...search around here youll find people sending more to them with no problems.
