2 Channel Setup vs 4 Channel Setup (My First Post)

This is a great forum. I am learning alot

Here is my situation. I have a Hyundai Santa Fe and have two systems in mind. They both cost $600.00

System 1 - Infinity Ref 6 1/2 Components in front powered by 2 ch Kicker 60w RMS with stock rear speakers powered by stock HU and an Infinity Bass Link in rear cargo area

System 2 - Same front speakers but Infinity Ref coaxials in rear. All speakers powered by 4 ch Kicker 60w RMS . No Bass Link

I am leaning towards System 1 since in a SUV I don't see the need for rear fill. What does everyone think? Will the front setup provide enough central imaging?

Thanks

I have never heard the Bass Link but you are on the right track with your system 1. Another option would be a four channel amp. Running your components off of two channels and a single sub powered off of the other channels bridged. That may be a little more flexable down the road if you decide to upgrade.

System 1 is def better than 2, but i would not even run the rear speakers, all that will do is sound bad. Also another option is to save up and buy a good HU and then wait to do it all then. Because the HU is one of the most important if not the most important part to a good audio system IMHO.
