I'm looking to add another sub to my setup. A while back I bought a 10" Infinty Reference 1042W sub and got one free. I only installed one of the subs, and now I'm looking to add the other to it. I know I need another amp, but I'm not sure what kind as far as either 2channel or mono. Can anyone propvide me with some insight as to what I might need? Thanks

yeah i had a hifonics BX605 that was a/b and 1 ohm stable.
That is a Class D.

As far as Class A/B that are one ohm stable in stereo (2 ohm mono):

PG Xenon (all)

US Amps USA series

PPI PROMOS and PRO Art series

Original Orion HCCA series (most were .5 ohm stable in stereo)

Soundstream Reference series (.5 ohm stereo)

PG M Series

PG MS Series (when properly cooled)

PG MPS series (.5 ohm stereo)

Hifonics Series VIII Gold and Platinum

PG Ti, ZPX and ZPA series

RF Power Series (the current ones actually)

Notice that the trend is American made amps here.

For the OP you should look for a 1 ohm stable mono amp. Almost all of them are Class D.
