2 batteries???

I wanna run around 1500 watts in bass 200-400 in highs off of a hifonics hercules and the nemisis ( the 100x2 or 100x4) Im getting a 200a alternator for my explorer I wondering will this be better or a 2 farad capasitator but here is the deal I can compete in super street 1-2 with the capisatator with the battery i would be in another class for daily driveing ill see only 500-1000 of that how long will my alternators hold up without the extra battery?
