2 Assassin 10's or 1 type r 12?

Which one would you pick? Why?

Assassins:

Pros: 3 yr warrantee, suppose to have excellent SQ, suppose to be louder than atlas's...

Cons: Some say spl(output) is lacking

Type R:

Pros: Suppose to be stupid loud for the money ported, handles 1K watts

Cons: 1 yr warrantee, might not sound all that great

Price is the same: about $135 shipped

Which one would you do?

I'm looking for a 50/50...have about 2.5 cubes ported to play with.

I've owned a 15 rlp, atlas, quite happy with those...just want something to play with...

ASSASSIN OWNERS: Are you statisfied with not just the sq but the output as well? What would you compare it to? output wise?

I'm an owner of 2 type r 10's, and they're pretty nice subs. They don't go as good with the music as my last subs (oldschool CVR's, sealed), but they're not too bad sq wise. As for spl, these things love the lows. Great sub for the money.

I have owned both subs and can say that the assassins lack nothing in terms of output i have two assassins and they are **** close to the type r in output and they are only splitting 300watts right now while i had to give the type R 800+ watts to get loud. The type r is not a bad sounding sub by any means but the assassins kick the shit out of it terms of clarity and accuracy therefore two 10" Assassins get my vote.

I'm running 2 assasin 8's with 300 watts to the pair. It's pretty sick for two 8's that cost me $90 total. Screw the Type R.

I really shat my pants when I first powered them up. It was like seeing god, i spent $90 and used an amp I already had and I got some mighty badass little subs. They get loud when I want them to but even in the vented box the SQ is good. The low-low extension isn't all that impressive in the box I have atm but I don't really listen to anything with sound below 40hz much anyways.

Well loud for the space I had to work with. I put this in the back of a wrangler in a 1.2 cube box. That's a tiny little enclosure and I'm giving them 300 watts. I would compare them to my diamond D3 with 420 watts in a 2cube ported box. I had that in my jeep with the rear seat out and they sound as good but with a little more output. Those are the only subs I've had in my jeep so far so it's pretty tough to compare. When i bought the subs I didn't expect much output seeing as they were only 2 8's but I got a big suprise and will be buying another pair or two in the near future for some other installs.

i say go with the assassins. be different! plus they're more efficient like other say.

wow thats sweet...i think i will give the assassins a try then...crap, for $55 a pop, i guess how could you go wrong...

2 assasin 10's... 55w each in a wicked one, tons of low end extension in that box, great clarity, the trunk on my GF's '89 Camry dances and so does the licenst plate. Im going to throw togather a ported box for them and give that a whirl after i replacer her coax's and get her an independant amp for her coax's so the ZX4400 can push a nice 440w to them. (she blew them in less than a week, Hollywood sound driver's 6.5" coax's couldnt keep up with the assasins with 55w)

i will guarontee no Type R 12 will get as loud as these assasin 10's with even twice the power. speaking in truth an assasin 12 would be a good comparison for a Type R 12, im not sauing the assasin will get louder than the type-r...except in a watt for watt comparison assumeing each driver in its optimal enclosure. Also the Assasins will kick a type r's *** in sound quality.
