2 amps vs 1 amp

Just wondering if running 2 500w class D amps would be more of a strain on a cars electrical system vs running 1 class d 1000w amp. Just in general not really referring to a particular amp.

It will be pretty close maybe, if its the same maker.Using 2amps,1- on each sub will prob run alot cooler also,verses a single amp,unless it has a built in fan.IMO

Pretty much the same, you're be running each amp at 2, but final load will be 1, so it'll be pretty close

Under normal circumstances, a single amp (assuming similar efficiency numbers and curves) will almost always be more efficient than two amps. Less loss through wiring, less loss through internal components, etc. not to mention it would be cheaper and simpler to install. No real benefit to having 2 amplifiers.

i wouldn't say that ,i've always had better scores in the lanes with 2 amps than 1
