2 amps to 1 sub?

can I hook up 2 amps to 1 sub? if so how would I wire that?

Also, if not can I use 1 amp-output (on my HU) and split it between 2 amps?

You can hook 2 amps to a sub if it has 2 voice coils. The problem is getting the gains set exactly equal and they'd have to be the same power. I wouldn't even try it unless the amps were identical and you can set the gains with a scope.

thanks, I will hook up 1 amp to each sub, luckily I had an extra sub I found, I was asking if I could split my RCA pre-amp outputs so I have a set to each amp, I think that will be possible? It is 2.2V output will 1.1V Im guessing? be enuff for the amps or should I do line level inputs?

It doesn't split voltage, they'll both get 2.2 volts and be fine.

Yah, it wont split your voltage. Buy a y rca adapter and you can run both amps off one output.
