I have an XXX15 Dual 1 ohm. Found out i could put 1 amp on each coil. Is there something i should know? Would you guys recommend this? Beside the fact that i would have to make sure both amps are set exactly the same(gains). Is it possible?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Get amps that are strappable and go for it. DO NOT put 2 non-strapped amps on the sub though. Gain is not the only thing that effects it, the SSF, crossover, bass boost, etc.

If you want about-right power, strap 2 Orion 600ds. If you want way too much power, get 2 Orion 1200ds.

Sorry for the extreme n00b question but how do i strap 2 X1200? thanks for the reply:D

get a pair of Viper amps. they're easily strappable. you hook up a wire between the two, set one to "slave" and the other to "master," and it automatically configures the gains on the slave amp to the gains on the master amp. Easy as pie.

Exactly how it's done on the 1200D, and that wire happens to be an RCA cable //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

Directed makes Viper and Orion, I'm pretty sure. I know they make Orion and I'm almost positive they make Viper as well. The Orion amps = teh more secks then Viper though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

Thanks. Once they're strapped, do I still Plug each amp to one coil? Are the Viper 1 ohm stable?

Run wires to each coil, set one to master and adjust all of the settings on that amp, as long as the other is in slave adjusting it does nothing. I waiting on my other 1200d to strap them to a pair of R 12''s //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

i believe what you do is run the sub in series for a 2 ohm load. then wire negative to one amp and positive to the other amp. when 2 amps are strapped together like the orions, they are stable to 2 ohms because each amp will see a 1 ohm load and combine there power at 2 ohms.

you can to amp on each coil and the don't have to be strappable but thay need to be the make and modle and yes the gains and everything else has to be set all the same and really only way to set them the same is with a o-scope but you can get pretty close with a volt meter
