I am having such a hard time figuring out what subs to purchase. Not understanding the whole deal probably doesnt help. I want a system with Quality bass that hits decent. I want something that sounds good and i want the force of the bass. I ask one person they tell me to go with the Type R's. I ask another person and they say go with the Kicker Comp VR's. Then i see the Rockford Punch series. I dont know what to do.

And then i dont know if i want 3 10's or 2 12's? I prefer quality over quantity so i'd rather something sound good than hit harder. So the 3 10's would be a better set up right?

As of now i dont have and Amplifier so that can be bought to match the subs.

I drive a 1995 Honda civic if that has any limitations to the trunk space i have no idea.

What's your budget? Type R's or CompVR's would work nice, a couple 12"s or a single 15".

my budget is whatever. I can save up whatever i need. I dont want to spend 200 dollars a sub but i would pay a good amount.

type r's sound good, put out good spl, look good & are very inexpensive - sounds like a winner to me.

Pair of SE 12's... wouldnt run you more than $350 from the RE group buy (in like 1 month) IIRC.

I would get the r's over the Re's. But that is just me. You really cant lose with the r. U will get good sound out of the 10" subs. If you are getting 3 look into a good amp though. Dont skimp on that. Also make sure you get good highs. Otherwise what is the point on having good subs. Good luck!

Ok, so should i go with the two 12's? Someone told me they sound nice but they dont hit as hard as they'd like. Does anyone who has handled the Type Rs have an opinion on how they hit? As of now i dont know anybody who has them in a car hooked up so i cant just go and listen to them. I have heard the 12's but there was four of them in his car. They sounded NICE. Would two of them sound as good (i would think not). And does anyone know where to get a deal? I want two subs and a box.
