Okay i currently bought 2 alpine type xs with a hifonics amp pushin 1300 wats @ 2ohms

and i was wondering what CAP i should buy and do i really need to buy another car battery to hook it up?

if your lights are dimming i would suggest doing the big three. (it's in the wiring/installation area) i run 1500 on stock electrical daily with no problems on a 70 amp stock alt... what kind of car is this in?

i'd do the big three, a cap is just going to be another pull on your electrical. from what i've researched on caps some say they help some say they are a waste of money (i like the analogy that it's like a speed bump in the power flow). plus your amplifier already has on board capacitors. in my car (2003 nissan altima) the alt is not very powerful, but i was getting minimal dimming with the system full tilt. after doing the big three i have had no problems at all.
