2 ? about wire and fuse..

hi guys,

1- i have heard 2 thinks ( you should have the fuse holder within 18" from battery. the other was 12" away from battery.

what is it ???

2-im running 2 amps 1 with a 160 fuse and the other is 30 amp fuse. can i use a 200amp fuse at the battery ?

You should fuse at what the wire is rated for and distance for the fuse holder doesnt matter but the wire in between fuse and battery should be at no risk of rubbing that could eventually expose wire and short battery
