2 6.5's in Tahoe factory location options?

I'm trying to say away from glassing a pod because I didn't want it sticking out digging into the side of my leg. Do I have to cut the metal part of the door? If so, how hard is it? Will it interfere with the window rolling down? Do I have any other options, and does anyone have any experience with these Tahoes?
