2/3 ohm stable amp?

Hello, guys I'm new to the board, just would like some suggestions. I'm looking for a good budget amp that can handle a .67 ohm initial load. I have 3 powerbase 15's that are dual 4 ohm and rated at like 400 rms. I know that the impedance will rise, I've built a 6.3 cube box for them ported. I guess after rise the load will be around 1.5-2 ohms. What's my best option if I want around 12-1500 watts, would one of the ap amps be a good fit?

sundown saz1500d, although it will void your warranty running that low. They can handle it though

Hey thanks for the reply, but do you have any other suggestions? I was going to run two amps on them but now I want to do one. I was going to run them at 2.66 after looking I see that I won't be using the amps full capabilities. I'm not competing or planning to upgrade so I think the sundown is out of my price range. I haven't been keeping up with audio, is .67 still too low for a daily amp?

going to be difficult to find something better than the sundown. Look for some early 90's cheater amps. They were very low ohm stable.

its too low for a lot of the cheaper amps. They'll most likely run it, but for how long is unknown. What is your price range? Theres a broken 1500 for sale here, send it to db-r to have him fix it...

anything that can do .5 ohm will do .67 ohm.

so look for .5 stable amps

Most amps are not .5 ohm stable btw, the sundowns "aren't" but will run it all day long with a good electrical system. a lot of people here run them that low...

For the money, you will not beat a sundown amp. Great quality stuff.

Yea, that's what I was thinking but I know that I'll need a good bit of overhead. I was looking for a 2000 watt 2 ohm amp. But I can't find a lot of class d ones. I know that sundown is good but I not in the position to buy right now. So I looking for something I can get on ebay or something at any time.

The opti 2000 looks like a good suggestion. I originally was going to run 2 lanzar 1200 d's on them, but couldn't find a 2nd one.

there are a few good class d 2ohm amps, just get some extra wattage to make up for the loss from higher impedance, kicker comes to mind

could get a 1ohm stable amp, the new audiopipes supposedly do 3500w at 1 for around $400, im sure you would get what you need at 2ohm
