whats a clip light do? also questions about my set up!

ok so im guessing the clip light is an indication that your amp is flat lining and your amp is clipping(correct me if im wrong). if that happens does that mean i just need to turn down the gain on the amp or head unit?

also which would be better 2 12" kicker l7's with a zx1500.1 amp running at 2 ohms.

or 2 12" kicker l7's with a audioque 2200d amp running at 1 ohms.

one last thing how much would a wiring kit cost for either of these?

what is the coil configuration of the L7s? ANd with the light, does it show solid or just blinks.

I believe the clip signal tells u when the amp is clipping (im not 100% sure though). So to fix it you would set the gain lower on the amp.

I think the L7s will be happier with the AQ2200, so get Dual 4 ohm versions. If you start smelling something funky, then set the gain lower so u dont blow them out.

For wiring kits, go to http://www.knukonceptz.com and look for the 0/1 gauge wiring kit. I think its like 50 something for the KLMX kit. If you want to upgrade go for the kolossus kit, or buy a kicker hyperflex kit off ebay. Of course, you want to use 0/1 gauge
