2 15's for 01 civic sedan

A friend of mine has a 01 civic sedan (7th generation). He currently has 2 DD 1012 in a 4.0 cubed tuned to i believe 34 hz (i told him to get that enclosure or he would of gone prefab). well he is one of those ghetto hispanics that will buy 2 15's and throw them in a prefab box and buy a 3k watt amp and run 8gauge wiring. He keeps talking about treo ssi 15's. everytime he asks me about a system, he always asks if its louder than treo ssi's. if he goes wit ssi's, i checked the specs and they're at least 2.5 cubed per woofer and DD is 3.0 cubed per woofer. I dont think he has enough trunk space for about 5.0+ cubed. anyone out there has a civic and has done 2 15's? also can anyone recommend something that will hit hard and not break the bank? he's gettin 2 ssi 15's for 350 and is looking for something equal or less value that will "knock" harder. id recommend the DD 1515 but i dont think he has the trunk space for the box. and what amp would go perfect with any sub suggestions. thanks

Pre fab, 3000 watts an 8ga power wire dont go together AT ALL. Tell him to get some xplods an call it a day.

two 15s ported is not gonna happen unless you fiberglass or build the box into the trunk or something like that. you could do two 15s sealed though. the volume of the entire trunk is just a hair below 13 cubes, but that's including the big spare tire well and everything. you're really limited by the trunk opening if you want a box that is removable.

ok after talking some sense into him, he decided that he will pick up a memphis 1500d amp, found one used for 300. with that he was going to sell his DD 1012's and was debating on getting 2 DD 1512's or rockford fosgate P3 12's. which will be louder? the DD's right? i never heard the P3's so i have no clue.
