2 12s vs 1 18....You decide

Lets take two Alpine Type Rs, 500rms a piece. and take 1 RE Audio SX-18". What do you think would be best. Performance wise and Longevity.

The RE should last longer (at least until the cone/surround rots or gets physically damaged by someone). The type R's would perform better since they actually have power applied to them.

Ok, for got to add. Lets have 1000 watt amp power the Rs, and a 1000 watt amp powering the RE

If you still dont have the power but what an 18 to get loud put it in a little bigger box. Its the way mines set up.
