2 12inch L7s Vs. 15inch XXX

the 15XXX would cost me 460 and the two 12 inch L7s would cost me 420...which should i get if im lookin for the best spl?

I would go with the L7 12's if room is not an issue. Get a ported box with like 3cuft a chamber and run about 700-1000watts a piece. They should hit anywhere from 145-155db.

I am actually going to buy a XXX 15" but I have a small sedan with not enough room for 2 12's ported. I'm probably gonna run it off a Audiobahn A1500HCT (2000w@1ohm) and put it in a 4cuft ported box.. that should hit mid to high 140's.

bah...i still want to know why it matters what he chooses,as i looked into his other threads it appears as if he doesnt already have the sub.

also,with the amp you have,i think its 2.4kw you said,i would not get either.

The l7's would take about 1kw at the most each,and the XXX would take 2kw at the most each.

What does your amp do @2ohms and 4ohms?

i know someone who gives each l7 2.5kw daily,but he knows what he is doing.Not to say Alpine doesnt...but i wouldnt recommend it.and I bet the XXX can take more than 2kw daily but if you know what you are doing.I know chris's 18XXX will get 2kw daily.

i said that because i know a guy with a 12l7 and 1.2kw and he blew his sub after 2 weeks,this one shop set his gains and everything and i looked at them and they werent high at all,and the guy didnt know much about it,so i figured to say 1kw daily would be fine.
