liiiiiiike...wtf?
Well, I just moved up from an Orion 1200D to an Orion 2500D and all I could say was wow except for when I did a 10-80hz test in incraments of 10hz and basically I had the subs moving pretty hard on all frequencies except for 20hz. At 20hz I had to turn the volume from 50 all the way down to about 20 just to get a tone rather than a sound like the cones were about to burst. I'm not willing to try it again at that volume and frequency so if anyone has an answer then that'd be awesome. I'm running two seperate boxes made by TCAB. Both are 2.5cubes at 32hz.
My guess was that there was too much excursion at that frequency?
Would this happen with a BTL, MT, or any other high qualitly SPL sub in a properly sized and tuned box?
Not that I plan on running 20hz daily or anything, but I'm just curious as to what was going on.
Low Pass at roughly 60hz. Not to sure what the high pass is set at, but based on a clock its at 9'oclock and the Intelli Q is at 2 o'clock.
