2 12" Type R's + AMP

Hello there, im sure a few of you have seen my hello threads and newbie threads. Anyways, I recieved the 4ohm DVC Type R's and the wires today and im ready to buy the amp. I've been looking very seriously at the Hifonics 1606D amp because its pushing 1600 watts RMS at 1 ohm. However, I'm still alittle iffy on the whole Hifonics setup, I've heard that they are sometimes good, others not so good. I was wondering if there were any better amps for less than or right at $300 that would compete with that amp/are better than that amp, are 1 ohm stable, and push at least 1200w RMS. Fot the price the Hifonics 1606D will be good for those 2 Type R's... just make sure ur car can feed it the power the amp needs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i guess I hit a good one cuz Mines doing ok.... I have the 1206D tho... but its still ok for my budget at the time,.

Can't go wrong with Hifonics. I hear their amps are better this year than the others. A KX1200.1 would be good if you can find one in the classifieds, so would an RE 35.1/Better Audio 1600M1/Ampman Revo (all the same).

flakko has a slightly used md2 that has a scratch or something i cant remember but its a little bit more than $300 but it will be much nicer than a hifonics.

I just realized it said this on the Hifonics website as well:

Will my 4 guage wiring fit in this?

I debated it, but decided to just go ahead with the 4 guage anyways. I figure that'll be good for a while...
