2 12" Type-R's, 1500 watts in a Mustang

Well my 12" Fi Q is blown. So I'm doing a build with 2 12" Alpine Type-R's. I'm powering them with a Rockford Fosgate T1000.1BD (1,464 watts rms on birthsheet).. This is all going in my 01 Mustang. I've got the box done and i just got the subs in the mail today. Here's the pics of the box and subs.

The box is 4.7 cubic feet tuned to 32 hz.

I just got done painting the box. It's flat black. I'll take some pics of it when it's dry. Now all i have to do is put it in the car. I'll have to remove the rear seats though and bend some metal just to get the box in the trunk.

i did a build for two type R's in a mustang just like yours....he wanted it in the backseat, and it was pretty darn loud......but now he's wanting to switch to an fi q (same setup as you had before..lol)so he can have his backseat back, so we took the box out and he should be ordering a new sub this week....btw your turned out nicely...i built his right around 5cubes before displacement tuned to 30hz with a kerf port...(it was huge in his backseat)

type R's get loud in big ported boxes. should rattle apart your stang pretty good.

looks nice mang. i had 2 type R 12s in my ext cab ranger before i went with my LVL4 DC 15. They do get loud

Thanks guys. Yeah i can't wait to hear it. And about walling it, haha i doubt that would ever happen. It would be sweet but i use my backseat and that's too much money and work.

Well I hooked up the subs today. It was so much work getting that box in the car. But oh my god, it's so loud. I love it. It's much louder than the 12" Fi Q I had. I was totally surprised. It flexes the hell out of my car. I need to take a vid. I time to film one earlier and now it's dark.

This is after i took out my rear seats and cut and bent the metal up to make room for the box.

lol this is how ghetto my car looks now. Tomorrow I'll actually put my back seat back in and clean up the wires.

Does the trunk rattle a lot? Id turn the box around and try it sealed off that way.

yeah it rattles. But it's fully deadened and i've heard worse rattle. But it flexes like crazy though. I would like the hear what it would sound like if it was facing forwards and completely sealed off from the back of the trunk. But there's no way that i could seal it off.
