I just purchased a new car 2005 Trailblazer LT.

I’m looking to purchase 2 12" ID Max v3 D4 subs. I would like to power them both from 1 amp and get a good balance of SQ/SPL out of them.

I would like to know some of your opinions for which amp to use and perhaps which kind of enclosure.

Also

I would like to use the stock headunit (Bose) system because I only plan on purchasing subs, the stock components are Bose and they sound pretty **** good. What would I require to do this.. A modulator if so which kind?

Thanks

Matt

Use a NINe.1 on both of them. I have one NINe.1 running the same sub (just one, with the gain set pretty low) and I find myself wishing I could use more of the amp.

Go sealed with the IDMAX, it will get louder then you'll ever need and take up minimal space. Anywhere between 1.3-1.5 cubes is ideal for each sub.

Good luck, you'll love the sub. And good choice on keeping the Bose speakers. My mother has them in her Audi A6 and I LOVE THEM!! I can't believe how great they sound for being stock.

I would say go for the Boss amp based on the ratings (not sure about the quality of the products, I'd start a new post for that)

750 watts a piece at 2 ohms would be very good for the subs without a worry of overpowering them

I had a kole audio 3000d amp, same as the PA 3000d and gave each one about 1000-1150 watts with each speaker getting 1.1 ft3. It was awesome until it was stolen. I had mine in a lancer so its a bit smaller than what you have. I got my amp for like 400 shipped i think.
