2 10" RE-SE or 2 10" Type-R's?

I am now leaning towards getting just 1 12' re se/x *2ohm* in a ported box built to specs by SPY. With an amp that does 900watts @ 2ohm. Think it'll still hit hard? Or is it worth it to spend the extra $150 or so to upgrade to the 2 10' se's?
