1. I'm thinking of conjuring up a 2.1 stereo system for my room. I already have this set up for my home theater, but I only use it form movies/games and it seems like the acoustics of the speakers and whatnot are more geared towards movies (they are geared for that after all):
Two BP7004: http://www.definitivetech.com/loudsp...upertower.html
The CLR 2500: http://www.definitivetech.com/loudspeakers/clr/clr.html
And a pair of the BPX's: http://www.definitivetech.com/loudsp.../surround.html
And a Denon Receiver etc etc.
2. I already have a custom built enclosures being finished (by Abra) that will hold 2 12 inch Fi SSds tuned to 32hz. So those are geared for audio already, plus having 5 subs for a HT set up is retarded and imaging them will be a PITA etc.
3. So that means I'm looking into some stereo speakers, and and amp to power them along with the subs. I want to use my computer as the music hub as I have all my music on my computer.
4. I don't want to buy something at a store. I was looking at the prior projects posted at partsexpress.com and some seem cool. I want a bookshelf system that has 2 midranges/woofers (6.5inch) and a single tweeter in each bookshelf.
Since the substage is more than enough, I want these puppies to scream. SQL system. The Def Techs sound decent but they are not loud enough for me anymore when the music turns up a lot. (The receiver is a good reason why even though it is a nice one, but 100 watts a speaker enclosure is not that much really considering each tower has a good amount of speakers to distribute the power.)
Any midwoofers and tweeters off partsexpress to consider? I am looking for amazing midbass to compliment the substage and a vivid higher freq range without sounding like a tin can. So a nice metal dome tweeter might do, but I'm ignorant. I'm lost to know what is good out in the Home Audio world. Power handling/efficiency is a big deal to here. I want to rock out.
Any other info you want out of me please ask to better the assessment here. Thanks!
