Today I installed an amp kit in my friends 00 mustang GT. We bought an amp kit at Meijers because he is only using 2 8s. It was pretty easy we found a grommet to use ran the power wire on the left side of the car and RCAs and remote on the right side I took off all of the trim pieces so I can ran the wire and I think I did a better job at doing it then Bestbuy did on my car. All I gotta do it hook up the HU when it comes and it will be finished.

I took my car to Best Buy because I didnt know much about my car when I got it done, If I were to get all of my stereo stuff now I would do it myself. When I get my 4 channel amp I'm going to install that myself. And we didnt take pics but I'll try to get some tomorrow.

If you're satisfied with your work and so is the friend the work was actually for then Job Well Done.

Once you make the decision to get out there with some screwdrivers, a few sockets/ratchet, and some wire (yeah, yeah, yeah - real simplified but it'll do) mobile audio really isn't that hard. Most of it just requires that you have the patience to do it right. Some panels won't come off easily...older cars have screws which have been in place without moving for several years and they don't wanna back out now, either...etc, etc.

Wait 'til ya get to the point where you're basically taking apart the entire interior...yanking out seats. removing carpeting, snatching center consoles, and all that jazz! That's when the serious cursing begins!

Enjoy your 4ch when it get here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I take all my stuff to walmart to have it PROFESSIONALLY installed. . .JK.

I agree that you could have ran a bigger wire for the power for future upgrades but it'll give you more experience ripping it all out and reinstalling the new on yours his or anyone else's.. . .enjoy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
