i'd leave the carpet. it's definitely acceptable. i've seen way worse carpet jobs. overall i really like this setup man.

Only question I have is with the inside bracing on port, wont that effect or even trap some of the air flow/sound? I'm sure it isn't enough to make a difference, was just curious.

I just checked the ohms per side 1.6 ohms

My wiring is wrong . I going to to recheck what I did wrong . I should have 4 ohms

Will, I'm glad I checked the ohms . My wiring was wrong . Now I have 4.2 ohms to each sets of subs. That may have been ugly.

x2 I had a box made and subs put in, but when I hooked it up to my amp....nothing. Pulled subs out 1 was wired to 2ohm and the other to 8ohm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

Tonight we ( Me and my Duaghter) install the amp and sub box . got it all wired up . turned unit on . These subs and amp thumps hard . Then out of the blue, the system went dead . O NO

Checked fuses at the amps good . Went to the the engine area, where the main fuse is located .The fuse was blown . O LORDY . Check the new wire from the dist. block the the new amp . That da**** f**** S*** wire had a split in the casing which touched the amp shorted to ground .( Took out the fuse ) . We went to best buy got two new fuse . Kicker fuses, 10.00 dollars ( 2 in a pack) Restalled them . System back up and working .

Now , I need help on how to set this old school amp for the subs ,Like the gain and couple other manual adjustments .

Will this is the manual , its for a 600.4 , My amp is a 800.4 . Everything looks the same . I wired it like page 22.

Start with the gains all the way down, then turn the radio up to the loudest that you'd play it at. Slowly start turning the gains up until you either get the output that you're looking for, or until you start reaching the limits of the subs/amp to play cleanly.

Well, this car build is almost finished . Here is a couple pictures

This box has took the whole trunk space . It sure does throw down hard

This picture , I still gota work on the wirinig .Not sure if I'm going with another battery or capicator 6 Farad
