ok i got my amp and am going to install tomorrow in my 98 mercury mystique just wondering if anyone has ever put an amp in a 98 mystique before that might be able to help me out a little bit with running it through the firewall?

fords have unused holes all over the fire wall just peel back your carpet and u will see them also removing the kick panel will help you see them all a lil better!!!

yeah you should not even have to drill depending on what size wire you are using but if its bigger then the hole make it wider with a drill and get a nice grommet!! to run the wire threw so it will have a good tite fit and the wire don't get cut

I have a 2000 contour - they should be about identical. If it's an auto there should be a convenient grommet where the clutch cable/hydraulics would normally go through the firewall.

I ran 4 ga there and it worked just about perfect.

You have to pull back the carpet and some insulation.
