i plan on installing the kenwood dnx5140. and ive been looking around and can not find a wiring harness for a 96 ls400 anywheree..

does anyone know of one? or can someone give me the wiring diagram to it?

also when i took the factory stereo out, i saw 3 different harnesses. but in the wiring harnesses that i have found they only have 2.

so can someone explain to me what each of the 3 harnesses are?

Lets get some info from ya real quick. Seeing that the car is a 94 are you replacing the head unit because some of the speakers were not working?

and it really helps but im not really sure if it bypasses the factory amp? it says it does but can anyone verify that?

Well here is the problem you are goinbg to run into with this car.

The car has the Pioneer system in it (Amp located in the trunk on the passenger side) and the stock speakers are 1ohm (Aftermarket HU will not take this low of a load) so if you replace the factory head unit you are going to have to bypass the factory amp and replace the stock speakers. No one makes an amp integration harness so this will have to be done.

The amp bypass is very easy on the car and replacing the speakers are as well

yeh the amp is under the passenger seat. but i planned on bypassing that anyway, because i have 2 12s and an amp to put in there. also i could easily replace the speakers as well, which might be easier cause then i could just run the new speaker wires straight to the headunit right?

Yeah that will work

Batt+ is Blue/Yellow

ACC+ is Gray

Ground is Brown

Power Antenna is BLACK/RED

The speaker wires are found in a green plug at the amp.

Left Front+ Pink

Left Front- Purple

Right Front+ Green

Right Front- Blue

Left Rear+ Black

Left Rear- Yellow

Right Rear+ Red

Right Rear- Black
