1996 chevy corsica?

do a search and try doing the big 3 under your hood...it will make a big difference...plus your car is a unibody so no frame...your amp may be starving for a ground...run a ground wire equal to your power wire from your battery back.....That will be a major help as well.....

 
that will help...yoyu can run the 10 gauge from the battery gnd to the amp ground...if you can keep the ground your already using also...the 10g might be enough to help it get a solid ground...if your good with a volt meter you can check the ground ohms to get the loweset resistance

 
ditch that CAP and do your BIG 3. Try to get you self some 1/0 to do it for best results IMO. Then if you still have problems maybe you should look into a second batt which i dont think you will need with a 1000 watt system.
