Got some progress done finally....got the bolts glassed in and the molds popped off the doors today. Pics arent the greatest cause they were took with my phone. Gonna cut them to size in the morning sometime...then gotta wait for my PG RSDs to come in.

yes the one on the left is bigger....they WILL be the same size when i cut them tomorrow.
after you cut them and make the mold, how do you plan on attaching them to the door? ...i see a lot of these projects and this is one thing i cant seem to figure out...

Sry guys....just now got around to get back to the pods....been tryin to get the panels primed and sanded to get that glass look from em...goin good so far...got the molds cut out this morning...pics in a few...gonna hopefully get the structure built today too.

and to the guy wondering how they are held to the panel: you can see the 4 bolts in each one in this pic....they are those white spots that look like airbubbles buts it actually the bolts. there in the same spots on each pod.

well when i had my old system i liked having rear fill in....i admit it wasnt much of a system but it was my first...and this will only be my second.....and ive heard from other Ragners owners that Rear stage is a plus.

and i HOPE final product will be done by the end of the week...i got a 3 day break from work the next 3 days so hopefully lots of time to work on em....havent really been in a hurry to get em finished b/c im buying piece by piece (have everyhing but dual amp kit and rear stage, box built for sub, and amp for sub.) so its just something to keep me busy.

How many layers of fiberglass mat do i nee to put on top of the fleece? Also, how is this looking so far as my first glass project?..PLEASE LMK HOW I AM DOING!

2-3 Layers should be plenty, depending on the weight of the mat. Just make sure you can push/knock on it without it caving in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Looking good so far. Be careful, fiberglass shrinks when it dries, and tends to warp your pieces.

It's not the fiberglass itself that shrinks, it's the resin. Make sure you have the right kind of resin. There are multiple different kinds of resins with all different chemical compositions. You need to look for one that does not shrink. Pretty much all fiberglass chop mat is the same, so who cares if you got it at Walmart. What matters is that you DON'T cheap out on the resin and get a quality one that won't shrink, warp, or be prone to cracking.
