1989 cadyy speakers/ amp

i have a 1989 caddy fleetwood and i recently installed my cd player in it but i cant hear nothin out of my speakers. i read somewhere that they have a stock amp to the speakers. i just wanna know how i can get them to work thanks

Run speaker wires straight from HU to the speakers. Or amp them.

i was kind of hopeing i didnt have to do that. is there any way to get power to the amp?

Did u look 2 see if there was an amp??

i tried lookin 4 it but i didnt find anything. because before i installed it i could hear the amp bump turn on through my speakers.

the amp might be bad...

because when i bought my harness to hook up my stereo there was a cable that didnt connect. im guessing that that might be it. but i dont know where it goes.

I dont know about your situation, but my Merc had a factory amp, and I had to get a harness that ran from the factory amp to the HU to bypass the amp. This was before I amped mine and was using HU power.
