1988 Chevy Cheyenne

I was wondering how you remove the factory stereo in a 2wd 1988 chevy cheyenne. I can get the dash off and get to the stereo bolts but I'm not sure how you remove it fully. Does it connect to your ac controls or are they separate? Because it appears as if they are one piece and if not will a 183*175*100mm stereo fit in its place? Please reply with some help. Thank you very much.

You can pull it out & disconnect w/ no problems. Just cut the harnesses off the back of the factory stereo I have a diagram I can send you to show how to easily wire a new stereo in after you cut the factory one out. PM me after you have the old harness cut & out of the way.
