I would love to be able to design my own enclosure rather than the local place to do it. I would build my own, but I don't have the tools or knowledge to do so.. yet. No one I know personally is into Car Audio so i've been trying to learn on my own. **** it's difficult. Just a general question, With the trunk rattle, What is the best way to stop that? With my 2 12s it rattles like a mother.
I was looking for a sub with a low Fs mainly, I don't know if that was stupid of me or not. I LOVE ~30Hz bass. I want a system that can handle that with no problem. My JLs can do ~30Hz, but not with the bass you can feel. Like I know its doing it, but I can't feel it anywhere near what like 37Hz is like.
Ok, so if the SP4 isn't so good, What is a good sub for super lowend, similar to how the SP4 is.
Properly deaden it with mvl ccf cld tiles etc.and a guy on maf.com named dcarcustoms designs boxes and will give u blueprints for 10 bucks ..great guy
Some pll have had good luck with them ive just got a bad taste of them from what ive seen...to be honest the box design plays a way bigger role in what the namdwith is than the sub does ..take for intstance my hdc4s ppl say all they time they dont play low blah blah ..and u saw the video lol and they have a fs of 43..
That actually was the same idea I had, is to have someone like that build box designs and they have them build it to the exact specs.
My very original sub I wanted was a DD sub. Then it switched to this and then that etc etc. I guess I could get the SP4, hey worst case scenario I hate it or I suppose it could ignite my car.

Yea it will fill the car with smoke if it goes lol ..but ur gina have the same issue if ur set on a 18 as they all need 6 cubes at the very very smallest..there are alot of good ones out there tho

What it all boils down to is, I want a system like mine (JL 12s) but with a lot more bass, I like that the jls have what I would call "smooth" bass, I heard a guys 2 American Bass 12s and it was really rough and rumbled and I didn't like it at all.
Second skin is good stuff ..i have over 125 sq ft in my car like 6 fdiff kinds of stuff ..just bought it when deals popped up as long as its pure butyl ur good
Its really hard to say because u are going up into a whole other power level and things are gona rattle and shake like youve never had before
I do see what your saying, but he was running same power I was. It sounded SO different, that is something I'm scared of is that I wont like the kind of bass that it produces.
