18" Fi BTL Help

Alright guys I am putting 2 18" fully loaded Fi BTLs in my explorer. They will each be ran off a T40001BD. I also have around 24 cubic feet before port and whatnot. So I have to questions.

1. What type of box should I do. I want to just have an overall really loud daily driver. Competing around my area will be hard so I want this to be as loud as possible off of music. Someone reccommended a 6th Order but what do you guys think.

2. What should I do wire wise. I like kicker 1/0 but do I have to do multiple runs of it? Or what about Rockford 2/0?

Would do the Kicker wire in 1/0 hyperflex as that is some of the best of the best if you can swing it.

As far as box, do woofers up port back, would be amazing! Or you could do a wall. I would suggest hitting up Kennys numbers page in the general discussion about that.

I would not need to do a wall beacause Scott at Fi says that a loaded BTL needs 6-8 cubic feet for daily. That wont be a problem. And you are saying to do a standard ported with port on the back?

what year is your explorer

better say bye bye to keeping it under window line

if its a 02+,your maxed at about 44wide or so X 34D(keeping the port a few in off the back wall, you can go as high as you want though

yea what year explorer? if its 91-01, its even smaller than bamaboys dimensions he just posted lol

wall it like my explorer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Personally i'd do sub up port back, 6.5 cubes per sub (after displacement of port and stuff of course) and tune it in the relative ballpark of 32-35hz.

I'm a huge fan of the hyperflex wire from Kicker, great stuff...but it is not cheap.

i'm a big fan of welding wire. 1/2 the price of hyperflex if not more. carries the same current. you could do 2 runs of it for cheaper then one run of hyperflex. and as we all know 2 is better then one...
